What we promise, and what we cannot.

Plain-language version: templates change how your CV looks, not what a recruiter decides. Everything below is the careful, boring version.
1. No guarantee of employment
Nothing on this site — including a template, a layout, an export format or written advice — guarantees an interview, a job offer, a salary, a ranking in an applicant tracking system, or any other hiring outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers, using criteria we cannot see and do not influence.
2. “ATS-ready” means readable, not ranked
Our single-column templates use one column, standard section headings, real selectable text and no content trapped inside images or text boxes. That genuinely helps software extract your details. It is not a score, a certification, or a prediction. We do not test against any vendor’s system and cannot claim a pass rate.
Not every template here is single-column. Our Sidebar and Wave templates use a second column. Most modern parsers read the main column before the sidebar, which matches how you read it, but some older software flattens columns in the wrong order and files your job history under the wrong heading. If you do not know how an employer screens applications, use a single-column template. We would rather you were safe than stylish.
3. Responsibility for your content
You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you type. Do not exaggerate roles, dates, qualifications or salary. Providing knowingly false information to an employer can end your career, and in many countries it is unlawful. We do not review, verify or endorse the CVs produced here.
4. Accuracy of information
We try hard to keep our guides and page content correct and current, but we give no warranty that everything is free of error or complete. Workplace conventions, hiring law and privacy rules differ by country and change over time. Check anything important against the official source for your own situation.
5. External links
We link to other websites — for example advertising partners and hosting recommendations. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, pricing, availability or practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.
6. Availability and exports
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Export happens in your browser. If a download fails or a file looks wrong, try another format and check your file-saver settings — and please tell us, because it is a bug we want to fix.
7. Professional advice
Our content is general career information, not legal, tax, financial or recruitment advice. If you need advice about your specific situation, speak to a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
8. Trademarks
Company and product names mentioned in our guides belong to their respective owners. Mentioning them for identification does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CreateOnline CV is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content. See clause 9 of our Terms of Use for the full limitation, which forms part of these terms.
10. Contact
If something here is inaccurate or misleading, tell us and we will correct it. See the contact page or the Privacy Policy.
